Compliance Framework

bloometrics School Connect is designed from the ground up for compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

Roles Under DPDP Act

• Data Fiduciary: The School. The school determines the purpose and means of processing student personal data.
• Data Processor: bloometrics (NIYAMKAVACH AI LABS PRIVATE LIMITED). We process data solely on behalf of and under the instructions of the school.
• Data Principals: Parents/guardians of students (for children under 18).

Legal Basis for Processing

Processing of student personal data by educational institutions for the welfare of students is exempted under Fourth Schedule, Part A of the DPDP Rules, 2025. Additionally:

• Parental consent is obtained during the school enrollment process
• Schools maintain enrollment records as proof of consent
• bloometrics does not independently collect consent — the school manages this as the Data Fiduciary

Children's Data

As all students are minors (under 18), we apply enhanced protections:

• No behavioral tracking or profiling for commercial purposes
• No targeted advertising
• No data shared with third parties
• No collection of biometric data, photographs, or government IDs
• Data access restricted to authorized school personnel only

Data Principal Rights

Parents/guardians have the right to:

• Access: Request a summary of their child's data through the school
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of their child's data (subject to the school's record-keeping obligations)
• Grievance Redressal: Raise concerns through the contact details below

Data Localization

All personal data is stored and processed on servers located in India. No data is transferred outside India.

Purpose Limitation

Data collected through bloometrics is used exclusively for:

• Recording developmental observations
• Generating PTM reports
• Facilitating parent-teacher communication
• Tracking action items and follow-ups

Data is never used for advertising, marketing to parents, or any purpose beyond educational service delivery.
